About Evan Grohowski

Hello. My name is Evan Grohowski, and I am a current senior at Blair Academy located in Blairstown, NJ. My passion and enthusiasm for the visual arts stems from when I was very young. I love making films, I love taking photos, and I hope to continue these creative endeavors throughout college, and beyond.

Film:

I began taking film more seriously during the summer of 2017, when I was accepted to attend USC's summer film program. I took two film-based classes, and learned a lot from my professors. The films I have created thus far are intended to be interpreted differently by each audience member. My goal every time I shoot a new project is to create something that has never been done before. Whether its through lighting, camera angles, or even sound, I hope to impact the film industry with innovative ideas.

Photography:

When I take photos, I shoot with the intent to bring my audience into a different world. When you view my photography, take in every detail, as every photo was intentionally, and consciously shot that way.

Many people use the facial expressions of their subject to portray the emotion of a photo. However, in many of my stills, you will see I use aesthetics and my surroundings to tell the story, and let the audience depict what every photograph means individually.
